Dr. Panicco is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina. After graduating, he attended Kent State University where he obtained his podiatric medical degree in 2014. Subsequently, he completed a three-year residency in reconstructive and trauma surgery of the foot and ankle at INOVA Fairfax Medical Center in Falls Church, Virginia where he served as chief resident. Dr. Panicco continued his training by completing a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Foot and Ankle Institute of Desert Orthpaedic Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Panicco has contributed to advancing foot and ankle surgery through numerous publications and presentations, as well as nationally attended lectures, courses, and conferences. He most recently was published in prominent Orthopaedic journal, Foot & Ankle International. He is an active member of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. After completing four years of medical school and a three-year surgical residency, Dr. Panicco continued his training by completing an extensive one-year fellowship in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at the Foot and Ankle Institute of Desert Orthopaedic Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. During his time at the Foot and Ankle Institute, Dr. Panicco worked closely with renowned foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Troy S. Watson, a consultant for the UNLV Rebels. Training under Dr. Watson afforded exposure in a specialty setting combining non-operative and operative treatment methods in a high volume clinical arena. Emphasis of the training was in adult complex forefoot, hindfoot, and ankle reconstruction, sports related pathology and arthroscopy. Dr. Panicco has comprehensive training in the non-operative and operative management of conditions affecting the foot and ankle. He has advanced surgical training in the treatment of foot and ankle trauma, primary and revision total ankle joint replacement (TAR), complex deformity reconstruction of the forefoot and hindfoot, ankle arthroscopy as well as sports medicine. Dr. Panicco and his fiancé Alyssa reside in Lakewood Ranch. Beyond patient care responsibilities he enjoys staying fit with various activities including basketball and weightlifting. He is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Dr. Panicco treats all disorders of the foot and ankle and is dedicated to improving the quality of patients’ outcomes.
